New suspect found in Madeleine McCann case

The world has followed the case of Madeleine McCann. Some people believe that her parents sold her. Others think that she wandered off in the night. Whatever your views are, you may be interested in knowing that a German man has now been accused of being involved in her disappearance in 2007.

The man is in prison presently for unrelated crimes including sexual and drug offenses. Interestingly, he was one of the suspects listed back in 2007, but there wasn’t enough information or evidence available to have an investigation into him. Later, in 2013, his name oddly came up a second time when a German TV show called “File Number XY Unresolved” was played to the public.

More recently, the Met Police investigation’s detective chief inspector stated that his investigators had received more information that allowed them to start investigating the man. German authorities began working on the case and were able to gather enough information to open a preliminary investigation. If all goes as planned, that would turn into a potential homicide charge.

The investigation has revealed that the suspect did have a history of working in restaurants around the area where the family had been on vacation. He also had a history of dealing drugs and breaking into hotels in the region. The authorities do believe, if this is the correct party, that he was not working alone.

It’s important to be thorough in cases like these. Anyone who faces homicide charges deserves a fair investigation and to be able to defend themselves. The goal in any case like this should be to find out the truth and to make sure the situation is resolved fairly.
